| In Greek mythology, Terpsichore ("delight of dancing") was one of the nine Muses, ruling over dance and the dramatic chorus. Euterpe was also one of the Muses, She was called the "Giver of Pleasure", , and was a muse of music. In late Classical times she was also named muse of lyric poetry. Urania ("heavenly") was the muse of astronomy and astrology. She is able to foretell the future by the position of the stars. She is often associated with Universal Love and the Holy Spirit. Those who are most concerned with philosophy and the heavens are dearest to her. |
